Hibs can do Celtic favour tonight, batter Sevco for second time in 10 days

Sevco are away to Easter Road tonight in the 7:45pm kick off. They are of course favourites and many fancy them to get all 3 points tonight and make it 3 wins out of 3 for new Sevco manager Giovanni Van Bronckhorst.

Hibs come into the tie coming off back to back defeats, both away to Ross County and St Johnstone. But we all know the game with the most relevance is the League Cup semi-final at Hampden, where Hibs battered Sevco 3-1 just 10 days ago. They were well up for it, and it was a very comfortable victory for The Hibees, with Martin Boyle scoring a hat-trick, who starts for them alongside Kevin Nisbet tonight.

That’s the problem with Hibs though, as I mentioned they were well up for that cup semi-final, they ran riot against Sevco, especially in that first half, but all too often they aren’t up for it, as we saw with their two most recent defeats.

But they normally do get up for the big games against Celtic and Sevco, hopefully tonight is no different and they can do Celtic a massive favour and be the first side to take points off Gio’s side this season under his management, many Celtic fans will no doubt be tuning in, hoping for a repeat of that cup semi-final.
