Ex Celtic striker Chris Sutton has had his say on the decision from Ange Postecoglou to play Japanese star Kyogo Furuhashi in the dead rubber against Real Betis last night.
Many Celtic supporters were worried when Kyogo came on 30 mins into the game to replace the injured Albian Ajeti that he could potentially pick up a knock. That is exactly what happened, with Kyogo limping off mid-way through the second half with a hamstring injury.
Scans have still to reveal the true extend of the injury, but we should find out in the next day or two just how long Kyogo is expected to be out for.
Chris Sutton, now working as a pundit for BT, took to Twitter to give his opinion, He wrote “Gutsy win for Celtic. Brilliant effort and desire, Kyogo wasn’t worth the risk though. Huge month ahead. The squad is light. The support need to get Ange Postecoglou and the team through the next few weeks until January!”
Sutton sums up the view of the majority of Celtic supporters but some have argued that it was just simply unlucky and it could happen in any game.
Let’s home the scan shows some good news!
