It has been widely reported that new Japanese signing Reo Hatate can play in a number of different positions, left back, left wing, central midfield, and Celtic fans have been curios if Ange has brought him in as a utility man, or whether he wants him to play in a set position.
Speaking exclusively to Celtic TV, Postecoglou said: “In terms of position he’s a midfielder, he’s an attacking midfielder, and he’s one I think will develop over time, because he’s only had two years of senior football, he came from the university system and he has a lot of upside, so I’m really excited to start working with him.”
Definitely exciting to hear that Hatate will be playing attacking midfield for us, especially with Rogic potentially missing crucial games way on international duty and David Turnbull being out long term with injury.
