The Daily Record are reporting tonight that after some positive talks over the past few days between Benfica and Celtic, that it looks like the move to bring Jota to Celtic Park permanently is about to be completed.
The Scottish Sun are now also going with this story, citing the Record’s original piece. Of course, we have seen a lot of these types of stories in recent days from these two outlets in particular. Do they actually have inside information and have been told that a deal is about to be done? Or are they simply putting another one of these articles out there, hoping that it will come true sometime soon and they can tell us that they ‘exclusively’ told us this a few days ago?
It remains to be seen, but it would be good to get this deal wrapped up ASAP, just to have that certainty and put any rumours to bed about other clubs potentially turning the players head.
