Since coming to this country, Ange Postecoglou has made it very clear that he isn’t the type of manager to moan about refereeing decisions.
So you know the ref has had a stinker when even Ange has to speak up about the assault on Guchi by Mohammed Niang of Alloa.
To be honest, it’s a miracle that this is really the first time that Ange has spoken up against a referee’s decision, because it seems almost every game there is an absolute howler against us in some way.
He has most likely had that attitude throughout his career and has carried that belief with him as Celtic manager, but although he knew about the club and our rich history, he probably didn’t know just how bad the officiating was in this country.
And he’s speaking up now because he is probably sick of his players being assaulted on the park by opposition players and the referees allowing it. And who can blame him?
The referees in this country need to take a serious look at themselves, because at the moment they aren’t even getting the basics right.
