Sports website Total Sportal has published a list of the weekly wages for the entire Celtic first team squad.
This website and others has a history of doing this.
I believe they take the total wage bill from our public accounts and they then take a guess at how that wage bill is split up between each player.
A lot of them seem fairly accurate, for example Liel Abada on £10,000 pw, Nir Bitton on £15,500 pw and and Callum McGregor on £20,000 pw.
But there are also a lot of others that just don’t add up, even some for being too low, like Tom Rogic on £10,000 pw, when he will no doubt be one of our higher earners having been at the club for nine years now and one of our standout performers most seasons.
And then there are others which seem ridiculously high for an SPFL side to pay, such as £42,000 for Josip Juranovic and £52,500 for Kyogo. There is absolutely no chance we have singed a player from the Polish league and the J-League on these types of wages.
It has been common knowledge for a long time that there is a wage structure at Celtic, with the highest earner being Scott Brown on £25,000 pw. I would assume that model is still in place and the wages won’t be any higher than that for any player, with club captain Callum McGregor now likely being the highest earner.
The fact that they have David Turnbull listed as being on £23,500 a week after signing from Motherwell tells you all you need to know about the accuracy of this list.
Take a look at the list below and see what you think.

Total nonsense. Factually incorrect.
