While Bodo/Glimt may have sold off a few of their star players in the January transfer window, as Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou told the press yesterday, they have pretty much replaced these players like for like, so he doesn’t expect any decrease in quality from the opposition when we play them at Celtic Park tonight.
One of their key danger men has been at the club for a number of years, midfielder Ulrik Saltnes.
Saltnes tends to play on the left of a midfield three, is strong on the ball, good in the air at 6ft2, but his main asset is driving into the box and putting the ball in the back of the net.
In his last two seasons at the club his record has been better than a goal every three games, which is great for a midfield player. He has hit double figures in three out of his five seasons at the club.
Our back line will need to be wary of the threat he poses. I’m sure Ange and the rest of the coaching staff have made the players well aware to make sure to track this guy’s runs tonight, because if they don’t, it will most likely be costly.
Take a look at Saltnes in action below.
