Celtic had just beaten European Champions AC Milan under the Paradise lights in the Champions League group stages with a late winner from Scott McDonald.
It was a fabulous night for Celtic, but instead of focusing on the magnificent achievement, current Sevco fan and at the time Rangers fan David Tanner chose to focus on the incident where a Celtic fan ran on the pitch at the winner and tapped Dida on the shoulder, where Dida fell down like he’d been hit with a hammer and was stretchered off. He then received a two match Champions League ban for his antics.
