Sky Sports Pundit and Liverpool Legend Jamie Carragher was talking recently to Optus Sport and lavished praise on Celtic and new manager Ange Postecoglou.
Speaking on the impact that Ange has had since coming in, Carra said:
“Obviously there’s always going to be a bit of scepticism – who is this guy, we don’t know too much about him. But no, he’s done brilliantly culminating in the last Old Firm where it wasn’t just the result, it was the performance as well.
They Absolutely demolished Rangers in that game!
It was one of those games where it doesn’t always happen, where it felt like the whole of England was watching and I think it just reminds everyone how big Scottish football is, certainly with the two Glasgow giants.”
I spoke after the last derby game and stated that the powers that be should play more derby matches midweek in evening kick-offs, especially when there is no Champions League or EPL games, because as Carra said here, it felt like the whole of England was watching, we were the main show in town, and that’s the way a game of this magnitude should always be.
