Sevco Refuse Deal To Sign Ramsey Permanently, Juve Set To Cancel His Contract

Multiple reporters have come out this afternoon that Sevco Head of Recruitment Ross Wilson has made it clear to Juventus that they will not be taking up the option to buy the Welsh fitness flop.

Juventus were apparently trying to cancel his contract before his loan move to Ibrox, but they decided to allow this move to happen in the hope that Sevco would give them a few million quid for his services in the Summer.

I’ve said before on this website that a permanent deal in the summer was never going to happen. I believe the fee would have been £4.6m, which they would only be able to afford if they secured Champions League football, which I don’t believe will happen.

I was even more confident that they would not be able to afford his wages, and I don’t believe Ramsey would be looking to swap Turin for Govan plus a 90% drop in wages. It was just never a realistic prospect.

But for the news to come out this early into his Ibrox move, that he is deemed not worthy enough already, is hugely embarrassing for the player himself and all the ones ln the media, like Kris Boyd, who talked up the signing of Ramsey as the best signing Scottish football has ever seen since Gazza.

With Ramsey currently out injured and no timeline on his return, it remains to be seen if he will even step on the pitch for Sevco again.
