Twitter Account ‘Football Wonderkids’ have highlighted the incredible contribution young Celtic star Matt O’Riley has already made after only joining the club from MK Dons in the January transfer window.
O’Riley has been very good since coming in, and he has settled in to life at Celtic incredibly fast, especially for such a young man who has not played for a club anywhere near the size of Celtic before.
His form has even earned him a call up to the Danish U21 side for the first time too.
He hasn’t let the pressure or high demands of going for a league and cup get to him, and the biggest compliment I can pay him is that when we take Rogic out the side and play him instead, we look just as strong.
That was proven in his Glasgow derby performance at Celtic Park, where he linked up beautifully with Abada and Juranovic on multiple occasions down the right hand side.
And also again on Saturday, when he came off the bench and scored two good goals, the second being an absolute peach after showing a great bit of skill to shift the ball away from the defender to get his shot off, before belting it into the top corner of the net.
Take a look at the stats that Football Wonderkids have highlighted below that show just how important a contribution O’Riley has given to us already.
