That’s all we’ve been hearing from that lot for the past two years, the term ‘sporting integrity’.
Yes, from the supporters of the old Rangers that financially doped their way to everything they ever achieved under David Murray, to their currant klub Sevco, who again surviving and competing purely on ‘soft loans’ from investors and have been for years now.
Yes, this is the club and the supporters who constantly moan about ‘sporting integrity’ every time they think they are hard done by and Celtic end up with some sort of perceived advantage.
And now, their supporters, and no doubt their klub itself, will be soon as well if they aren’t already, are demanding that the SPFL rearrange fixtures in order to help them in Europe.
And the thing is, the ‘to help them in Europe’ line is nonsense. It is simply being used as a cover because they are upset that they have to come to Celtic Park and play us in the league a few days after the game against Leipzig.
They have all said this already, we’ve seen all the tweets. They are simply changing their argument to try and manipulate the SPFL into doing them a favour.
What they really want to do is get the SPFL to help them DOMESTICALLY. Which is outrageous by the way!
If the SPFL actually changed their fixtures so Sevco get a longer break before playing Celtic, then that is cheating. It’s as simple as that.
Celtic should not accept this under any circumstances.
