With Giakoumakis Out On Sunday, Kyogo Must Start

We heard from Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou today, who confirmed on form Greek striker Giorgos Giakoumakis will be out injured for the Scottish Cup Semi-Final clash against Sevco on Sunday.

However, he has also confirmed that Japanese sensation Kyogo Furuhashi, is fit and available to play, but noted he is not yet fit enough to play 90-120 minutes.

For me, Kyogo has to start.

Ange has been saying for about three weeks now that Kyogo is fit and desperate to play, and he was given time against St Johnstone where he came on for the last 20 minutes or so and did well, so he will be desperate himself to start for us on Sunday.

If he can’t last the full game, then start him and give him an hour, then we can bring on the likes of Abada from the bench or put Maeda more central.

I think taking an early lead in the game will break them and could open the flood gates for several more.

For me, and I’m sure the majority of Celtic fans will agree, that the best chance of dealing them a severe blow early on, will be with Kyogo starting from the off.
