If you go back to the days leading up to the Glasgow derby at Celtic Park, Follow Follow was full of posts pleading for Diallo to start so he could ‘tear Taylor apart’ and ‘rip him a new one’.
Fast forward to game night where Celtic won 3-0 in a first half obliteration of our Glasgow rivals and Greg Taylor had Diallo in his back pocket all night.
Ever since that fateful night, Diallo has barely featured for Sevco, with their fans saying how useless he is every time he comes off the bench for them.
But with Giovanni Van Bronckhorst resting Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent against Motherwell today and missing Roofe and Morelos through injury, young Diallo was given a rare start.
I did watch the game today, but wasn’t really concentrating 100% on it, but the only thing I remember seeing from Diallo was him through on goal and his shot got blocked by the Motherwell defender when he really should have buried it.
After the game, there was mixed reaction on Follow Follow to his performance, with some fans in particular very unimpressed by the player that Manchester United paid £38m to Atalanta for.
