The facts say that Celtic have won 24 out of our last 28 games in the league and drawn the other four.
We haven’t lost a single game since the 19th of September last year.
We’ve scored far more goals than anyone else in the league and conceded far less goals.
We’ve also taken six points off Sevco with two wins from our last two games against us.
Yet, the narrative from Sevco fans is that “Celtic didn’t win the league, Rangers threw it away.”
Have you ever heard anything more ridiculous in your life?
How the hell can you throw away a league half way through the season?
Yes, if Celtic lost the league from this position, six points ahead with four games to go, then you can definitely say that we have thrown it away, because it is in our hands and it is so close to the end.
But if that were to happen and Sevco took advantage by winning all their games and winning the league, they have still won it and would deserve to.
But you can’t possibly claim that you have thrown away a league when it wasn’t in your hands to begin with.
That’s would be like Celtic fans saying we threw away the league at the start of the season when we lost three out of our first six league matches and drew the one after that.
Sevco fans like Barry, that you’ll hear on the video below, need to get a grip and admit that if Celtic do go on to win the league this season, it’s because we have been the better team and the most consistently better team.
As Andy Halliday says on the call, the league table doesn’t lie.
