Video: Take A Look At Celtic Left Back Target Mohanad Jeahze In Action

The left back position has been one of constant weakness at the club, ever since Kieran Tierney left and joined Arsenal in a club record £25m deal in the summer of 2019.

Greg Taylor has been first choice in that position through most of the season, although we have also seen Josip Juranovic and Liam Scales play there, as well as a couple of appearances from Boli Bolingoli and Adam Montgomery, it has been the little Scot that has cemented his place in the team until now.

And in fairness to Taylor, the last two or three months have probably been his best spell at the club, and he has done very well particularly in the Glasgow derby matches this season against Sevco.

But many fans are still not convinced that he is the long term solution, and it seems Ange may feel the same way, as he is being linked with brining in Swedish based Iraqi left back Mohanad Jeahze.

Celtic scouts have apparently watched the player in action recently and his current club Hammarby’s sporting director, Jesper Jansson, confirmed that “there is certainly an interest” in the player from other clubs.

Jeahze has by all accounts had a very impressive season in the Swedish top flight, providing 41 key chances, 11 assists, and 1 goal in 40 appearances this season for Hammarby.

And at 25 years of age and the rumoured fee only being around £1.6m, he seems like a typical Ange Postecoglou signing, a player at a good age, cheap price with bags of quality and potential to make a big impact at our club.

Take a look at the player in action in the video below.
