It has been reported today by the Daily Record, by way of Fotboll Direkt, that Celtic have ‘shown interest’ in AIK’s Kenyan international left back Erick Otieno.
According to Leicestershire Live, both Leicester City and Manchester City were also scouting the player last summer, but for whatever reason, a move to the English Premier League never progressed.
Celtic have already been linked with a number of left backs this summer, and there will no doubt be more names added to the list until we finally seal the deal for one of them.
At 25 years old, he is the perfect age that Ange likes to go for from most of the signings he has brought in to the club so far.
Otieno can also play at right back, which would also be a huge bonus to give us extra versatility in the full back positions.
