A Teesside based ‘journalist’ is claiming tonight that Celtic’s Japanese ace Kyogo Furuhashi is on the brink of a stunning move to English Premier League new boys Nottingham Forrest.
Jack Bradshaw, and I’ll leave a screenshot of his Twitter bio below for you to make your own mind up about how knowledgeable this guy is, is claiming that the fee would be £12.5m plus add ons.
To be honest, I have never heard of this guy before, and there isn’t too many interesting things in the rest of his feed that I saw and any other transfer predictions he has made recently, but he does seem to be a Forrest fan, so there is a possibility he knows people inside the club.
This may just be a young journalist trying to get his name out there by attaching it to a big player and big club like Kyogo at Celtic.
To be honest, I really cannot see this story being true at all.
Will there be EPL interest in Kyogo this summer? Most definitely. He is a top class player and entering into the prime of his career, but he has just joined Celtic and clearly loves it here and has an incredible relationship with manager Ange Postecoglou.
And there is absolutely no way that we would sell him for that low a fee. I genuinely believe it would have to be a record fee for us to even be tempted, probably around the £30m mark.
I think that’s a fair valuation, given that Tierney went for £25m a few years ago and with Kyogo being a striker and a top class one at that, he is definitely a more valuable asset. Especially if you look at his commercial value too in the Asian market.
I can’t see Kyogo being in a hurry to trade Champions League football and winning trophies at Celtic to be in a relegation dog fight at Nottingham Forrest next season.
Take a look at Bradshaw’s tweet and the reaction from Celtic fans below.

Perrhaps removing the .between 12 and 5 would work. Similar to the Sevvo 2.5m for Shirley becomes 25M without the dot. Wishful thinking on the lafs part, however, he does know a player when he sees one.
PS, Tell him Buffalo is still available now, or pre contract December.
