Have you ever seen anything like this?
Yesterday, the Daily Record published an article, advising Sevco on how to negotiate the sale of Morelos and try to get as much money as the £14m plus Celtic received for Odsonne Edouard last summer.
That was bad enough, but they are at it YET AGAIN today!
They have now turned their attention to Joe Aribo, who had a good first half of the season and then did nothing, bar his goal in the Europa League final, he went missing in pretty much every other game.
They are comparing Aribo to other transfers that are going on in the EPL, with the likes of Nicky Pope going to Newcastle for £10m.
Apparently, this means that Sevco should also get £10m for Aribo. Even though the two players and clubs interested are totally unrelated. It’s just such bizarre journalism.
What next? Are the record going to advise Sevco on how to negotiate for Colak?
Maybe the record should actually do some proper investigative journalism, and find out why the hell Sevco are struggling to afford a £2m transfer fee for their No.1 transfer target, rather than having a go at playing Football Manager in the press…
