Agent of Celtic’s Croatian full back Josip Juranovic, Hussein Algaaod, has spoken out about the rumoured interest in the player.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano set the cat amongst the pigeons with Celtic fans last week, after he tweeted about the interest in Juranovic from EPL sides and stating that the Croatian ace is ‘expected to leave’ Parkhead this summer.
The Daily Record have tonight stated that the agent has said that Celtic do not want to sell unless a ‘really big offer’ is received for the player and that “so far, several clubs from the five leagues have shown interest in bringing him in, but there is no concrete agreement.”
There is always going to be interest in our players, and that will only increase this season as we play in the Champions League, so interest should be expected, and not something that we should worry about.
That of course changes when concrete bids are actually made, which may or may not come in the near future for Juranovic, we’ll just have to wait and see with that one.
But Celtic hold all the cards here.
Juranovic has 4 years left on his contract and Celtic don’t need to sell. If a club wants to come in and slap down a bid in the region of £20m, then the board and Ange will take a look at it, but until then, Juranovic is a Celtic player and by his own admission, he is loving his time here.
