‘In the know’ Celtic account on Twitter @SeanS1967, has given supporters some interesting news this afternoon.
He claims the club are currently looking at 6ft5 Slovakian striker Ladislav Almási, who plays for FC Baník Ostrava, from the Czech Republic.
Even more interestingly, we actually play them next Wednesday in a pre-season friendly, so hopefully Ange Postecoglou and the supporters will get to have a look at the player up close.
Almási has a current scoring record of 16 goals from 32 matches for his current club, and turned 23 years old in March, so he is still fairly young.
He also has 8 caps for Slovakia but hasn’t yet found the net for them.
The player could well be seen as a back up for Giorgos Giakoumakis, as we don’t have any other physical options up front if Giakoumakis gets injured, whereas we have the likes of Abada and Maeda who are of similar speed and stature to Kyogo.
Take a look at the tweet below.
