Masters Football is now back at Braehead Arena in Glasgow tonight after 11 long years away.
Legends from Celtic, Rangers, Manchester Utd and Liverpool will battle it out with each team playing against each other in a round robin, with the top two teams then playing each other in the final.
Celtic were surprise initial favourite with bet365 at 9/4, Liverpool 5/2, Man Utd 11/4 and Rangers 11/4.
I say surprise favourites as I actually thought Rangers might be favourites as their team is actually pretty strong, with a lot of their players not as old as some of the other players and most of them have also played with each other, and they have good goal scorers with Michael Mols and Kris Boyd up front.
In fairness though, Celtic in my opinion have the best midfield, with Joe Ledley, Kris Commons and Stiliyan Petrov.
We also have big Carlton Cole up front, who will be hoping to make a bigger impact tonight than he was able to make during his playing career at Celtic!
But, after Stephen Warnock pulled out for the Liverpool side, the odds have shifted, with Liverpool now joint favourites with Celtic at 9/4, with the big announcement that Robbie Fowler will be taking Warnock’s place. Rangers stay at 11/4 while Man Utd fall to 3/1, who seem to have 7 squad players as things stand, but do have Louis Saha up front who will be hoping to bang in the goals for United.
It should be a cracking evening, and hopefully Celtic can bring home the trophy!
