R*ngers Handed Champions League Nightmare Draw

Giovanni Van Bronckhorst’s men have been handed a nightmare Champions League draw if they can make it past Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise in the current round.

They have been drawn against the winner of PSV vs Monaco, and despite some good results in Europe last season for the Ibrox side, Monaco and PSV would definitely be favourites against them.

The first leg is to be played at Ibrox, taking away the crucial home advantage they experienced last season in the 2nd leg.

For once, they have gotten the toughest tie available to them, and missed out on playing the winners of Sturm Graz and Dynamo Kyiv.

The play off matches with take place on August 15th and 22nd.

The third round qualifiers are still to be played of course, with the Ibrox side away in Belgium against Union tonight, and then returning to Ibrox on August 9th.

Of course, if they get knocked out of Champions League qualifying, you can be sure it will be dressed up by their fans and their supporters in the SMSM as a positive, and all part of the master plan to go on another run to the Europa League Final.
