It has been a surprise to many Celtic supporters that former midfield maestro Tom Rogic, is still without a club, having left Celtic at the end of last season, after coming to an agreement with manager Ange Postecoglou and the Celtic board to waive the final year of his contract.
Rogic is still only 29 years of age, and many feel like he can play a few more years at a high level, but so far, he has only been linked with clubs back home in Australia and in the Far East.
Until today that it, with reports coming out that Rogic is close to once again linking up with former Celtic manager Neil Lennon, who of course now manages Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus.
This has come as a surprise to many Celtic supporters, as you will see from the Twitter reaction below.
Many feel this is a big step down for Tam, and also question why he wants to work under Lenny again, as many feel Rogic did not play well under Lennon, and wasn’t favoured by him as much as other managers.
A big part of his decision to go to a place like Cyprus could just be the simple fact that the weather is much nicer compared to Glasgow or England!
Apparently, this was a big factor for Nir Bitton, who also left Celtic along with Rogic in the summer, as he stated he is sick of the Glasgow weather after 10 years at the club, and with Rogic coming from Australia, there is a good chance he is also fed up of the bad weather!
Take a look at some of the comments below on Rogic’s next move.
