There is something very satisfying about hearing pundits like Hugh Keevins predicting that Celtic will drop points, only for it to come back and bite him minutes later!
Keevins was typically negative while covering Celtic’s game on Clyde Superscoreboard this afternoon, describing us as wasteful and constantly saying that Ange would be angry and frustrated at the performance.
He even came up with a new catchphrase as he likes to do after moving on from his “pass the parcel” one that he has been repeating as of late, and he referred to it as “The Ange Blast!”
From what I gather, he thought that Ange would be so furious at today’s performance that he would fly into a fit of rage and shout at the players on the pitch.
I’ll give it to old Shug, he does have a wild imagination!
It’s quite funny though that he kept on repeating that Ange would be annoyed and frustrated at Celtic’s performance today, when this is what the manager had to say after the match.
“I’m really happy with the result and the performance. It’s a difficult place to come but the players were outstanding at controlling the game and minimising their threats.”
Oh dear, that doesn’t quite fit the negative narrative that old Shug was trying to paint!
But my favourite part of the show was Hugh predicting adamantly that “Celtic have lost their way and it will finish a draw”, only for Moritz Jenz to fire in the winner minutes later!
