It is fair to say that Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes did not take his side’s 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Celtic too well this afternoon.
The former Rangers player struggled to say anything positive about Celtic’s performance today.
Instead, McInnes chose to constantly reiterate that the result and score-line wasn’t anything to do with how good Celtic are or how well we played, but that his own players didn’t do their jobs right.
I can understand McInnes not being happy with his side and in particular some of the goals they conceded today, but he should be big enough to also praise Celtic and say how good we were today, especially having to play on that awful plastic pitch and in blistering hot weather conditions.
But he didn’t seem interested in giving Celtic any credit whatsoever, and quite rightly Celtic supporters felt that showed a real lack of decency from the Killie manager.
Take a look at some of the reaction to his interview below.
