Celtic have today been linked with a move for skilful Montenegro star Sead Haksabanovic.
Haksabanovic is contracted to Rubin Khazan in the Russian Premier League, and is reportedly available for a cut-price deal, after the Russian club slashed their £6m asking price for the player, who is desperate to get out of his contract due the the ongoing war with Ukraine.
Haksabanovic was apparently offered to Celtic last summer after we signed Carl Starfelt from the same club, but Celtic decided against the move, with the high transfer asking price likely playing a big part in that decision.
Overseas reports confirm Celtic are a likely destination for the player and the Scottish press are also reporting the same thing now, so it seems like there is genuine interest from Celtic there.
Haksabanovic plays mainly on the left wing, but can also play centrally as an attacking midfielder and also on the right wing.
Ange said recently he is hoping to bring in couple more players in the window, ones who can play in multiple positions, so Haksabanovic would definitely fit that bill.
The player looks fast and skilful and likes to take players on. He looks a good crosser of the ball and has an eye for goal.
He is only 23 years old, but was previously at West Ham as a youth and made two appearances for their first team, so the player has some experience of British football, which would stand him in good stead.
