Celtic supporters promised it would be a special atmosphere tonight as we welcomed European Champions Real Madrid to Celtic Park for our first Champions League appearance from several years.
They absolutely delivered on that, backing the team throughout the match and encouraging the players no n stop.
Even at 3-0 down and after the final whistle, the Celtic fans were chanting manager Ange Postecoglou’s name in praise, because supporters can see how far we have come under the manager in such a short space of time, and we can see the improvements in the team on a European level, now competing on the biggest stage against the best in the world.
Celtic matched the best team in the world for about an hour, but ultimately, Madrid’s class and experience shone though.
There is nothing quite like the roar at Celtic Park once that Champions League anthem hits though!
