Job Done For Kevin Clancy As He Helps Rangers Cut Gap On Leaders Celtic

Rangers will be wishing they could take the Scottish referees with them into the Champions League to save them from repeated thrashings after Kevin Clancy helped the Ibrox side secure all three points against Dundee Utd this afternoon and cut the gap with Celtic down to two points before our game against St Mirren in Paisley tomorrow.

Rangers were not impressive as they struggled to capitalise after taking the lead in the first ten minutes.

Once Dundee Utd settled into the game, they were the better side.

This is the same Dundee Utd that Celtic thumped 9-0 recently, it just shows you how poor the Ibrox side are at the moment.

And things were not looking good at all for them in the second half after Barasic bundled over the Utd player inside the box which appeared to be a stonewall penalty, with Rangers co-commentator Kevin Thompson describing Barasic as ‘very lucky’.

Clancy of course looked the other way, which allowed Rangers to then make it 2-0 a minute later.

I’ve also seen multiple accounts that Utd should have had a second penalty late in the match but I missed the incident but I have no doubt that Mr Clancy will have looked the other way again if needed.

After Dundee Utd pulled one back, there were all over Rangers and won a corner right at the end of the game, but of course referee Kevin Clancy, did what referees are advised to never do and blew the full time whistle before the corner kick could be taken to see Rangers leave Ibrox with all three points.

I’m not even too concerned as a Celtic fan as I believe we are far too good for this mob and even with the help of officials, they won’t be able to stop us.

I’m more upset for Dundee Utd, because they have been cheated out of getting something from this game today.

I’m surprised that not more referees have jumped ship like Madhun as they will be found out when VAR comes into Scottish football just how crap Scottish refs are but I bet we’ll have ex referees of a hun persuasion given the job of viewing on field incidents so nothing will change referees will still make sure sevco get all the help they need.

Here is a scenario at Ibrox for Clancy, Rangers are awarded a penalty , foul , or set piece against Celtic at the 93rd minute with 3 minutes added for extra time , Celtic leading 0.1 sorry Clancy say’s to the Rangers players times up I’ve blown for full time aye right !
