Ange Postecoglou and Celtic officials are over in Sydney at the moment doing a promotional tour for the first ever Sydney Super Cup.
The friendly tournament will start in November with the hoops playing against Sydney FC and English Premier League side Everton, who took the place of the Ibrox club after their enraged fans protested about them being part of a tournament widely recognised as “Big Ange’s homecoming tour”.
Everton being a long established English Premier League side and having a manager like Frank Lampard are obviously a much bigger and better attraction that the 10 year old club that plays out of Ibrox.
So as much as the Celtic admin was trolling the Ibrox club and the angry bears, he is also being factually correct!
I am sure the nice people of Sydney breathed a huge sigh of relief when Everton took the place of ‘Rangers’, especially after seeing the damage and destruction ‘The Peepul’ love to inflict on cities hosting them such as Manchester and even their own city of Glasgow.
I’m sure it will be a cracking event!
