Liel Abada Gears Up For Likely Celtic Exit Next Summer

Celtic supporters aren’t naive, we all know how football works, especially here in Scotland.

We always want to keep our best players, but we know that next summer in particular, as long as certain players keep playing well, improving, and playing well in the Champions League and World Cup especially this season, that it will be very hard to keep hold of some of them.

Players like Jota, Matt O’Riley, Josip Juranovic and Reo Hatate if they keep up these top performances, are names that Celtic supporters have talked about struggling to keep hold of.

It’s the nature of the beast.

Celtic have a player trading model and inevitably, most players if good enough, want to move onto a bigger league like the EPL and the riches that comes along with a move there.

We don’t like it, but we accept it.

Another one of the players that is frequently mentioned along with that group mentioned above is 20 year old Liel Abada, who’s goal scoring stats have been exceptional, considering his position and age and having only come to Scotland from his homeland last summer.

And it has now been reported this afternoon that the player has changed agents and gone to the same agent that Juranovic has, who of course has been linked with Chelsea, Man Utd and Atletico Madrid.

I did a quick search before writing this about Celtic players swapping agents and within 30 seconds I saw the names Edouard, Ajer, Tierney and even Ben Siegrist popped up. And it showed they all switched agents shortly before leaving us, and in Siegrist’s case moving to us.

Abada will see the interest that Juranovic’s agent has helped get him from England and want that himself. That’s not a problem, it’s his prerogative.

Let’s remember that he actually said in one of his press interviews on his arrival to Celtic that it was his dream to play for Liverpool!

As long as these players perform well, respect the club and give 100% for Celtic every time they step onto the field and as long as the buying club matches our value, all we can do as supporters is thank them for their service, wish them the best of luck for the future and make sure that we appreciate and enjoy these players while they are here and bringing success to our football club.
