A different day and a different ex Rangers player and manager is having a go at Celtic fans and others such as Hibs and Dundee Utd for singing songs and holding up banners about the Royal Family that they didn’t like.
It is getting beyond a joke now.
“Sickening and unforgivable” is what McCoist labeled it this morning.
While Souness yesterday said things along the same lines and tried to insist that Celtic will end up losing sponsorship because our fans jokingly sang “If you hate the Royal Family clap your hands” during the minute’s applause.
It’s funny, I don’t remember Souness and McCoist saying anything when UEFA partially closed Ibrox stadium over repeated acts of racism and sectarianism?
I’ve searched the web to try and find articles from the time where McCoist has spoken out against the racist Rangers fans or where he has referred to their actions as ‘sickening and unforgivable’ and can’t find anything.
I haven’t been able to find any articles where Souness condemned the racism pouring out of Ibrox that was so bad UEFA had to close 3,000 seats over “racist behaviour”.
I can’t seem to find where Souness called them’ toxic’ and hinted at the Ibrox club losing out on sponsorship due to having openly racist fans?
I mean, that was a big one because it resulted in a stadium ban, but both these men have ample opportunity to speak on the constant bile, hatred and anti Irish racism and sectarianism that belts out of Ibrox every home game. Because we hear it every week!
Every single game they sing about being up to their knees in Fenian Blood, yet we never hear a peep from the likes of McCoist and Souness.
That tells me they find it acceptable. They don’t care about racism and sectarianism if their own supporters are the perpetrators, but if other fans sing songs and put up banners about not liking the Royal Family, that is what they feel is ‘sickening and unforgivable’.
That should tell everyone all they need to know about these two cretins.
“No Pope of Rome” was the cry from those on their pedalstools in April 2005 when Pope John Paul II passed away. They’ve had 17 & a bit years to condemn their own, but not a peep. Fuck’m!!!
