There are many Celtic stars in action today and have been for the last ten days or so with their respective international teams.
One of these players is Matt O’Riley, who has been playing regularly for the Denmark U21 team ever since he moved to Celtic last January due to his impressive form for the hoops.
And he continues that form this evening with the Denmark team, as his side currently lead Croatia 2-0 at half time in a European Championship Play-Off match.
Not like his usual cool side foot finishes for Celtic, O’Riley scored by bursting into the box and getting on the end of a cross and powering a header into the goal, with the Croatian defender unable to clear it off the line and helping it into the roof of the net.
It is always good to see our players go away and do well for their countries, especially in important matches.
Most Celtic fans however just hope Matt just gets back to Glasgow fighting fit, especially considering we’ve had quite a few international injuries during this break, albeit seemingly minor niggles by the looks of things.
