I, like probably most Celtic fans out there, am still absolutely buzzing after that late winner by Giorgos Giakoumakis at St Johnstone this afternoon.
A goal scored in the last 20 seconds of 5 added minutes to win the game and secure our two point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
I thought we played really well and to end up drawing the game because of 5 shaky minutes would have been so harsh on us, so it was just euphoric scenes all around when that late winner hit the back of the net.
Of course, not everyone was happy.
In fact, the blue half of Glasgow was rather enraged about the situation!
I haven’t had a chance to enjoy looking back on their pain in the match thread on Follow Follow yet, but I did come across this beauty of a thread where they have put a video up of Celtic’s winning goal.
Complaining that the game should have been stopped is just pathetic. Why on earth would a ref stop the game because a player is limping, likely from cramp in the last 20 seconds of a football match? That would actually be going against the rules as it’s not a head knock!
