Fromer Celtic star Virgil Van Dijk could have played with a cigar on tonight as he absolutely strolled it against the ‘brace’ scoring superstar Antonio Colak as Liverpool humiliated the Ibrox side 7-1!!!
I don’t think Colak won a single header tonight as big Van Dijk bullied him like an adult playing against a child.
This was a Liverpool side which was practically second string for most of the game, who were without Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Diaz, Thiago and Salah to name a few that were either injured or left on the bench.
The Rangers fans thought they were an elite European side after fluking their way into a Europa League Final last season, only to face reality when they come up against the real big boys of the Champions League.
Celtic losing 2-0 to RB Leipzig doesn’t look so bad now, does it!?
Rangers really have embarrassed Scottish football tonight. That was a truly humiliating defeat, it really was.
And let’s remember, this is a badly out of form Liverpool, they are 10th in the league!!
Celtic played the best team in world football in Real Madrid and only lost 3-0 after an excellent performance where on another night we could have scored several goals if we’d have taken our chances, meanwhile, Rangers are getting thumped 7-1 by the 10th best team in England as thigs stand.
It will be interesting to see how the Scottish mainstream media reacts to their favourite club getting so utterly destroyed in Europe.
