Rumoured Celtic Summer Transfer Target On The Move

Transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano has given an update today about Bodo/Glimt player Ola Solbakken after months of speculation over the player’s future.

Solbakken was of course linked with a move to Celtic in the summer having played very well and also scored in the tie against us in the Europa Conference League last season.

The deal for the Norweigien attacker never materialised however, with Celtic instead signing Montenegro international Saed Haksabanovic, and I’m sure most Celtic fans will agree that as things stand, that decision appears to have worked out very well, with Haksabanovic looking like a great talent who can play in a number of positions from midfield through to attack.

Celtic were always an outside bet to sing Solbakken, with the player heavily linked with a move to Roma during the summer.

And after Fabrizio Romano’s latest update, it looks as though that move will now be going ahead in January, with Solbakken free to leave due to his contract expiring.

Solbakken currently has four goals and six assists from fifteen league matches so far this season, and at only 24 years of age, he will surely only get better.

Check out the tweet below as it appears Solbakken won’t be pulling on the hoops anytime soon.
