Josip Juranovic has been called world class by some Celtic supporters during his 18 months so far at Celtic, including myself.

During this season for Celtic, I thought I was probably wrong to call him that as defensively he didn’t look his best, especially at Champions League level and also hasn’t contributed as much going forward this season compare to last.

But after watching that performance there against Brazil, I think I might have to once again update my opinion, because that today was extraordinary. It was a heroic effort.

That today was world class from Josip Juranovic.

He was the best player on the park by a mile, and these are the best players in the world he is sharing this stage with. Neymar, Modric, Vinicius Jr and more.

And this isn’t even just Celtic fans saying this through green tinted specs, the BBC commentators and pundits in the studio also said he was the best player on the pitch and gave him his own highlights package at half-time.

You had to laugh previously at the stories of £5m West Ham bids, and after that you probably have to laugh if ‘£10m plus’ is ever quoted again for the player. Because you’re going to have to realistically double that before we even get started.
