“He’ll Get Them Big Money Unfortunately” – FF Dismay As Celtic Star Dominates Brazil

There were two Glasgow based full-backs in the Croatia squad that beat Brazil last night to go through to the FIFA World Cup semi finals to play Argentina.

Unfortunately for our rivals, it was the Celtic star Josip Juranovic who was actually playing and was the best player on the park as he pocketed one of the world’s best players, Vinicius Jr, forcing Brazil manager Tite to drag him off around the hour mark for being totally ineffective up against our bhoy.

Barasic, as usual when Borna Sosa is not ill and cannot play, was left sat on the bench as an unused sub all game, and just as well as he got utterly ripped apart against Japan when he did actually play in this tournament.

Celtic fans are not usually the type to want our best players to leave, but I think most of us now realise that Juranovic will most likely be leaving in January, considering Alistair Johnston, Canada’s World Cup right-back, is already signed up most likely as his replacement.

It is now a case of making sure we get fair value.

And after his performance against Brazil, his value could have easily doubled.

He is at least a World Cup semi-finalist, and at 27, can most likely be regarded as the finished article. He could well go onto be included in the team of the tournament.

Yes, certain clubs won’t be looking to pay big money for him because there will not be the big sell on possible, like if he was 23-24 for example.

But that is mostly for the clubs just below the elite level that are looking for these deals anyway, teams like Ajax and Porto for example, the elite clubs that aspire to win the top leagues and Champions Leagues, they would much rather spend good money knowing they are getting the finished product that can help them achieve that success.

And it is clear our depressed rivals feel we will be getting a handsome return on our initial £2.5m investment after watching his performance last night.
