There has a lot been said in the last week or two about Celtic’s Croatian World Cup star Josip Juranovic.
It is quite clear to everyone that he will most likely be departing Parkhead in the January transfer window, and most of the talk in the last couple of days has been about determining what clubs are involved in the race to sign him, as well as the transfer fee.
Torino are one of the clubs said to be very keen on signing Juranovic, with the player apparently preferring a move to Italy, but it appears Roma have also now entered the running: Roma Enter Race For Celtic Star – Champions 67
Sky Sports Italy journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, who describes himself as a “football transfer expert” and has 1.7m followers on Twitter, has weighed in on the rumours.
I hadn’t heard of this guy before, but when you have a Sky journalist with 1.7m followers, you would think they are obviously well respected and provide accurate information.
Well, any Celtic fan who did have any respect or believe what this guys says, surely doesn’t anymore.
He has absurdly claimed that Celtic are only asking £5.2m for Juranovic, and this was just written yesterday! Well after his incredible performance against Brazil.
And perhaps even more absurd, is that he says Celtic would be willing to LOAN Juranovic to Torino for FREE with an obligation to buy at the end of this season!
I mean, if you are going to just completely make something up, surely to hell you would make it much more realistic and believable than that!
Celtic fans quite rightly called Di Marzio out for this ridiculous reporting.
