Korean Striker Speaks Out On “Dream” Celtic Move

It is starting to become a struggle to keep up with all these incomings and transfer rumours, but it is so much fun to see Celtic move for talented players and bringing them in so early, it really is!

It was just yesterday the club were linked with brining in a South Korean central defensive midfielder, and now today, we have been linked with bringing in a 21 year old striker from the same country.

And apparently, we aren’t just rumoured to be interested in him, according to Korean press, we have actually bid 2m euros to secure his signature!

The player in question is Oh Hyun-gyu, a 6.1ft tall striker with, pace, power, and excellent in the air and scoring headed goals. He has also been capped once by South Korea and has a record of 13 goals in 49 appearances for his current side Suwon Samsung Bluewings.

Speaking on reports of Celtic making an offer, the player stated:

“What was reported today is true.”

“It is rare for offers from Europe to come, and Celtic has given a good offer. I think I want to challenge this opportunity.”

The club has stated that they want to keep the player for another season, but the player has asked the club to accept Celtic’s offer.

“I am careful to tell you the situation, but when I said this proposal came from the club, I asked the club to move. It was a situation waiting for the club’s position.”

When talking of the news of Celtic’s offer, the player repied:

“It was my dream and it is also a time I dreamed of since I was a child. When this proposal came, I thought I wanted to challenge as soon as possible.”

“I have a strong will to challenge in Europe.”

What an exciting window this is for Celtic, and it hasn’t even opened yet!
