Celtic Fans Respond As Official Kilmarnock Account Issues Semi-Final Warning

Celtic ran out comfortable 2-0 victors at Celtic Park this afternoon against Kilmarnock to move 12 points clear of our Ibrox rivals who play Dundee Utd away at Tannadice tomorrow afternoon.

After a slow fist half with a well worked goal for Celtic opening the scoring on the edge of half-time, the hoops were much better in the second half.

In reality, it could easily have been 4 or 5 had it not been for a number of missed chances that God only knows didn’t cross the line and kept hitting the post.

Kilmarnock were very poor today and offered very little threat at all.

Yes, you could say they defended well first half, but when you play with ten men behind the ball the whole time, the least you are expected to do is defend well.

Celtic now play against Kilmarnock again on the 14th of January, but this time, in the League Cup semi-final at Hampden Park.

And despite Celtic’s easy victory today, Kilmarnock’s official Twitter account decided to pipe up immediately after their defeat to post a warning shot to Celtic saying:

“A different ball game next week. See you at Hampden.”

Celtic fans were of course quick to jump in the replies and shoot down the nonsense threat.
