Transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano has been very quiet on all things Celtic as of late.
But, tonight, he has finally given Celtic fans an update into the goings on at Parkhead in the current transfer window.
He tweeted tonight that:
“Giōrgos Giakoumakīs could now leave Celtic as many clubs are approaching the Greek striker.”
“MLS, Japan clubs, also Sampdoria have asked for the conditions of the deal.”
Unfortunately, he didn’t confirm what these “conditions” actually were, because I think all Celtic fans realise he is going now in this window, we just want to make sure the club get a decent fee for the player.
But again, just like I mentioned with the new interest in Juranovic, Tornio Back In Race For Celtic Star – Champions 67, Celtic should box clever here.
The reports over the last day or two have pretty much confirmed that Giakoumakis will be heading to Urawa Reds in Japan, but Celtic should be in no rush to just accept the first offer thrown at us.
We still have 20+ days left of this window. If there are multiple clubs interested then let them fight it out and see who makes the biggest bid.
