In the know Celtic journalist and deputy editor of Football Scotland, Mark Hendry, has given supporters on both sides of Glasgow an important update tonight.
It was reported yesterday that Celtic were once again ahead in the race to sign South Korea star Cho Gue-sung after trumping Mainz’s £2.5m bid for the player.

But tonight, Hendry has given an update and as things stand, it is a positive one for Celtic supporters.
He confirms that although ‘Rangers’ ARE interested in Korea’s World Cup star, he confirms Celtic are still in pole position with a £3m bid on the table, whereas ‘Rangers’ are still yet to bid.
Former Manchester United star Park Ji-sung is currently in London negotiating with Mainz and Celtic, so hopefully from a Celtic point of view, we can get this wrapped up in the next couple of days.
