Celtic Tracking Striker Dubbed “Young Lewandowski”

Transfer guru Fabrizo Romano has given Celtic fans an exciting update this afternoon while speaking to a Polish Youtube channel.

At some point in the video interview, the talk of young striker Szymon Włodarczyk was brought up, with Romano revealing some interesting news for hoops fans.

He has been quoted as saying on the player:

“Szymon Włodarczyk, who has already scored 7 goals in the league, is in the crosshairs of many big clubs. I know some people call him ‘young Lewandowski’ and he’s a top talent. He is monitored by Celtic, Freiburg and Anderlecht. There are also two clubs from Serie A.”

Celtic keep tabs and show interest in a lot of young, talented players so it may not develop into anything, but then again, we probably do need a third striker, and a young player like Włodarczyk, being only 20 years old and just starting out in football, would probably be the ideal candidate for that role.

He is 6ft2 and has already scored 7 goals in 15 appearances for his club Gornik Zabre so far this season. He has has 2 caps for Poland under 21s.

Definitely one to keep an eye on.
