Celtic are on the verge of completing the signing of exciting South Korea striker Oh Hyeon-gyu, with Sky Sports news now reporting that a medical has been booked in for the player.
All going well, the striker could very well be paraded on the Celtic Park pitch at half-time against Greenock Morton tomorrow in our Scottish Cup tie.
The news broke late last night that Oh’s club, Suwon Samsung Bluewings, had finally accepted an offer for the striker, after their manager reported that Oh visited his office “FOUR TIMES” in the last few days to beg for the move to Celtic.
It is believed the fee is to be around £3m for the striker.
Oh has previously stated about Celtic’s interest:
“Celtic has given a good offer. I think I want to challenge this opportunity.” “It was my dream, I’ve dreamed of this since I was a child. When this proposal came, I thought I wanted to challenge as soon as possible.”
Looking at the video below, Oh looks strong, powerful, a good turn of pace and can clearly finish, with 7 goals in his last 8 league matches for Bluewings.
