The problem with ‘the peepul’ deluding themselves is that when reality gives you a severe wake-up call like it did when Celtic defeated ‘Rangers’ in the Viaplay League Cup Final on Sunday, it is very difficult to deal with.
And we are witnessing this week just how damaging it can be to lie to yourself and others with delusions of grandeur about your football team playing out of Ibrox.
It’s Thursday and the poor bears are still angry, bitter and upset from the final on Sunday.
It’s about time they accepted their place in Scottish football. 2nd best behind Celtic is where they belong. It’s something they are just going to have to get used to.
This Rangers fan on Twitter, a notorious weirdo on the platform, famous for having an infatuation with former Celtic player Scott Allan, certainly needs to do just that.
Days after the game he is obsessing over one of our players, our Canadian right-back Alistair Johnston, who was exceptional on Sunday and had Kent in his back pocket all game.
Their fanbase don’t seem to rate Johnston, as I’ve seen them post on FF several times that he is a ‘serious downgrade’ on Josip Juranovic, and they were even saying this after Sunday’s final on there, despite Johnston being absolutely brilliant against them and the last time Juranovic played against them he got torn to pieces by Sakala.
To be honest, I think they just say these things to give themselves some sort of comfort because we are continuously improving our team every window.
Their judgement on players cannot be taken seriously.
Take a look at the comments below as things just go from bad to worse for the poor bear.
