Remember when they were all laughing and mocking at Celtic signing a “10st Japanese lightweight who wouldn’t be able to handle Scottish football”?
Remember when they were laughing and mocking the fact that he wasn’t able to score against their side?
Well, after five goals in his last three games against them, including two yesterday and two goals to win the League Cup Final, they certainly aren’t laughing now!
Kyogo Furuhashi is an absolute thorn in the Ibrox side these days, and they simply cannot handle him.
He is simply too intelligent for their clumsy defenders, too sharp and too accurate in front of goal.
Kyogo is proving this season that he can not only perform and score goals domestically against the other sides, but he is also now performing and scoring goals in the biggest games.
To be fair, he also did it last season, like in the League Cup Final against Hibs, where he was only half fit but still scored two goals to burry them and win our first trophy under Ange Postecoglou.
He is just doing it far more consistently now.
I’m really eager to see how he gets on in the Champions League for us next season, because if he starts scoring goals for us in the competition, then it will take his game to a whole new level.
Check out the pain as they discuss Kyogo on their match day thread yesterday.
