Dutch Giants Set Sights On Celtic Star

As the current season draws to an end, it is inevitable that we will start hearing more and more transfer speculation about Celtic players leaving the club.

One of the players who has been linked with a move away for a while now is young Israeli winger Liel Abada.

Abada changed agents last summer and is reportedly not keen on signing a new contract with the hoops, although, he does still have another three years left on his current deal.

And reports today from Sky Sports news are claiming that Abada is being eyed as a summer signings for many clubs across Europe, including in England and in Portugal.

And those reports have also stated that Dutch giants Ajax are readying themselves to battle for his signature at the end of the season.

I’m a big fan of Abada and don’t want to see him leave, and I find it really disrespectful when people say that he is “easily replaced”, especially when you considering the amount of goals he has contributed to us and continues to contribute to the side.

Sure, his all round play can definitely be improved upon, but he’s only 21 years of age, so of course he has a lot of developing still to do.

But he just has a natural instinct of getting himself into the box and scoring goals and that is something you are born with, an intuition, and that is something not a lot of wingers have, especially ones as young as Abada.

I think he will leave in the summer, but to say he will be “easily replaced” is something I totally disagree with, and also undermines the talent Ange Postecoglou has for picking a player to fit into this team as if anyone could do it, which is absolutely not the case.

Any fee Celtic receive would have to be a very good one, and also contain a good sell-on clause.
