Celtic Supporters Believe This Summer Is The Time For Ange To Take Us To The Next Level

It’s getting to that stage of the season now, with just a few games left remaining, that Celtic supporters are now looking ahead to the summer transfer window.

I’m also one of these supporters. And who can blame us, because every single window under our manager, Big Ange, has been very exciting and also hugely successful.

The season coming, Ange and this Celtic side are not only going to have to compete again Michael Beale’s new look ‘Rangers’ team, and who the hell knows what that will end up looking like, but it will also be another crack at the UEFA Champions League.

Straight into the group stages for the second season in a row is fantastic.

We competed well overall in the last campaign, but ultimately, just didn’t have the quality and the finishing required to pick up the points we needed that would have seen us progress into the last 16.

It really depends on what kind of group we get dealt before looking at progressing out of the group, we have to be realistic.

But regardless, we should still be looking to get as strong a team as possible put together in the summer to allow us to do better than this season, whether that’s progressing into the last 16 or whether that’s securing 3rd place in the group and getting Europa League football in the new year.

I was reading the thread on the Kerrydale Street forum, titled ‘Summer 23 Ins and Outs’ and I found some of the posts interesting which I will add in below.

It seems that supporters now want us to push on as a club get to that next stage, adding a 2-3 players at the same level and price as Jota and CCV in certain positions, in the hope of guaranteeing better quality that can take us forward as a club, particularly in Europe.

And early indications seem to say we may just be about to do that, with the club scouting AEK Athens winger Levi Garcia, who is rumoured to be valued at 13m euros (£11.53m).

Now, I don’t think we’d pay that much for a player unless it was a deal made up of add-ons, but I do expect us to sign a few £7-8m players this season that will go straight into the first team.

We have the right manager, the right core croup of players, the right style of football and enough money to take the next step this summer. I believe now is the perfect time for Celtic to go to the next level.
