Ange: “Everyone’s Got A Plan Until They Get Punched In The Nose!”

Celtic manage Ange Postecoglou was in no mood for the media’s ridiculous questions at today’s pre-match press conference for the game away to Hibs at Easter Road tomorrow night.

‘Rangers’ through their official Twitter account this afternoon, confirmed that Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Allan McGregor, Scott Arfield and Filip Helander would all be leaving the club on a free this summer.

This was bizarrely referenced by one of the SMSM ‘journalists’ at today’s presser, with him asking the Celtic manager:

“With such a big turnover there (at Ibrox), are you expecting a tougher title challenge domestically next season?”

This lead Ange to respond with the following while having a bemused look on his face:

“I don’t know why that would even concern me to be honest?”

“I mean, I think this time last year, Rangers were in a Europa League Final and in a Scottish Cup Final and they strengthened after the season didn’t they?”

“So, does anyone care? Like, seriously?”

“We didn’t start favourites my first year, probably weren’t overwhelming favourites this year, so people can say what they want mate.”

“Everyone’s got a plan until they get punched in the nose, and then, you kind of reassess from there.”

“When we start next year, when the games start, everyone will see who’s really strong and who isn’t strong.”

What a bizarre question to even ask the Celtic manager. I mean, how the hell can Ange possibly assess if he will have a “tougher challenge” next season when he hasn’t seen any of the new players he is going to be up against from Ibrox next season?

Ange must leave these press conferences shaking his head most weeks at the stupidity of these so called ‘journalists’.
